SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

At Valumax, we believe in building communities, not just houses. Our commitment to enterprise development is demonstrated through our impressive achievements in 2023 at the Riverside View and Clayville Mega Projects.

Some 3 621 local labour job opportunities were created, with 1 984 allocated to the youth, representing 60% of job opportunities sourced from the local community. This effort translates to an average of over 300 new job opportunities per month over 12 months. Valumax supports education through bursary programs, contributing R3.8 million over five years to support students. In 2024 alone, we awarded bursaries worth over R1 million to 15 students. We are dedicated to making a meaningful impact in our communities through various charitable contributions and support initiatives. We proudly contribute to selected charity organizations supporting their efforts to uplift and empower local communities and youth through education, health, sports, arts, and culture.

AND DEVELOPMENT

STAFF ASSISTANCE

At Valumax, we are deeply committed to the well-being of our employees.

A significant portion of our assistance is dedicated to bursary and school assistance for the children of single mothers and low-income earners. Over five years, we have contributed substantial finances in bursaries for our staff’s children. These funds cover school fees, school clothes, transportation costs, and study materials, ensuring that education is accessible and affordable for our employees’ families.

In addition to educational support, we contribute towards medical aid for our employees, ensuring that their families have access to essential healthcare services.

STAFF TRAINING PROGRAMMES

We provided continuous formal and informal work-based training and leadership development programmes throughout the year as part of the company’s drive to improve business performance and efficiency while helping staff with their individual learning requirements.

Informal work-based training initiatives are conducted annually to upskill all staff and maintain the highest quality standards. In addition, accredited CETA training providers provide annual Health and Safety Training Level 1 First Aid for all Site Managers and dedicated staff members at the Head office.

CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

We also assist all professionally qualified staff to meet their continuous professional development (CPD) requirements to maintain their professional obligations and registration with various professional organisations or bodies.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Since 2018, Valumax has run a Leadership Development Program to enhance leadership skills among current and future leaders within the company, ensuring a robust leadership pipeline.
